Within the Cloud space, we still offer specific introductory and intermediate courses. Generic courses, like The Cloud demystified (0,5 days) and several Microsoft Azure and AWS courses (and related certification), in cooperation with Fast Lane Benelux. New this fall: Designing and Implementing a Data Science Solution on Azure (4 days). More topics are on their way, both on Azure and on AWS! Do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in other cloud training, or when you are considering tailored training solutions. Curriculum - Cloud Computing

As interest in and demand for Security related training - in its broadest context - increases, so does our offering. Our partner Security Academy published the following new and exclusive course: NIS 2 Certified Professional (2 days). Curriculum - Security

Given the ever increasing importance of AI and Machine Learning, several courses have been added and updated. the following courses have been added. More on that below: Extending our AI and ML offering. Curriculum details - AI, Data Science, Big Data and Analytics

Within the Databases & SQL - MySQL and MariaDB space, MySQL database administration and MariaDB database administration have become two independent courses. Curriculum details - MySQL & MariaDB

Up to this day, ABIS keeps on offering and implementing COBOL and PL/I training sessions; both on z/OS mainframe platforms as well as on distributed platforms - and even 'platform neutral'! Both in group or individual, standard classical or blended - and of course, tailored to your specific needs, both in terms of content as from a didactic point of view.

Our extensive experience with the development process on that mainframe platform furthermore allows us to:

  • extend our Cobol and PL/I development offering with platform specific courses - ISPF, PDF, JCL, REXX, ... using traditional or more modern development environments such as Rdz or Micro Focus Enterprise Developer
  • offer system related courses on most relevant mainframe subsystem platforms - Db2, CICS, WebSphere, zOS ...

Introduction to IT - IT awareness training and presentations

While Data Analysis (DA), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) continue to become more important, and the tools based upon these become more mainstream than ever, the need to introduce non-professional IT staff to IT related concepts increases as well.

ABIS has a long standing tradition in offering a number of specific courses relevant in this context. Today, we are not only focusing on introducing generic IT concepts; we also discuss how to use IT tools and utilities to enhance user productivity in specific situations! These can be introduced in the form of a traditional course, but can also be implemented as short, conceptual and context setting presentations! Available in English, Dutch and French, and customised to your specific needs.

Extending our AI and ML offering

ABIS - together with its partners - continuously extends and updates it's AI and ML offering with numerous courses focusing not only on AI and ML technologies as such, but also on the impact of these technologies on day-to-day business and operations.

We've recently updated the two courses at the core of our offering:

Another noteworthy and brand new course introduces AI to the world of testing: ISTQB Certified Tester - Testing with generative AI. The aim of this course is to discuss how to confidently deploy GenAI in a testing process.

Developing AI and ML solutions in Azure from an IT technical point of view is discussed in Designing and Implementing a Data Science Solution on Azure.

Finally, we have added a number of user related courses - focusing on Microsoft Copilot - as well!

Curriculum details - AI, Data Science, Big Data and Analytics

Copilot user adoption program

I'm sure we are all by now - at least conceptually - familiar with Microsoft Copilot.

Copilot is Microsoft's AI-powered virtual assistant enhancing user productivity by providing contextual help, automating tasks, and generating content through conversational interactions. It works alongside Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, ...) and provides real-time intelligent user assistance, enabling users to enhance their creativity, productivity, and skills within the Microsoft 365 environment.

Enabling Copilot within an organization will help - and benefit - users with their day-to-day activities. In order for these users to attain the full potential offered by Copilot, they need to be guided and coached. With that in mind, our partner Fast Lane has developped an encompassing Copilot user adoption program.

Copilot user adoption program

By default, a 13 weeks coaching and training track aimed at allowing participants to use the Microsoft Copilot AI solution to its full potential.

  • implementation based on an extensive inventarisation of targeted/desired Copilot use within an organisation - customer specific implementation!
  • combining short formal training, informal Q&A office hours sessions 'ask-as-you-move-along' and best practices presentations
  • including the creation of Copilot Champions or Copilot Ambassadors having the knowledge and expertise to help coworkers with the use of the product

OT and IT - Mind the gap!

Sensors and meters reporting on our core production processes produce more data than ever. The issue arises as to how to handle, interpret and use that data. And how to integrate that data with for example, customer and or production planning (CRM) specific data.

Bridging IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) -- minding the gap -- involves integrating the systems, data, and security practices of traditionally independent departments to enable end-to-end visibility, automation, and efficiency in industrial environments. Possible benefits: optimized resource allocation, increased customer focus, and faster decision-making. Noteworthy challenges: systems integration, security, cross-departmental collaboration and specialized training.

In the past, we have been implemented a number of customer specific training sessions to that effect - both on a conceptual and a technical level, focusing on data, data management, and the integration process!
