jQuery
Traditionally, when developing websites, a combination of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is used. The jQuery framework, which is an extension of JavaScript, is one of the most popular tools that will considerably simplify writing and maintaining web applications. Different (and older) versions of the most common browsers are supported by default, and typical tasks like DOM interaction, form handling and animations are greatly simplified, allowing the developer to focus more on ideas, and less on writing complex code.
At course completion the participant will have gained a firm grasp of jQuery and will be able to embellish a website and optimize its users' experience.
