System programmers, database administrators, people responsible for support, developers, analysts and application programmers who need a practical course of the Dialog Manager of ISPF.

Background

Use of ISPF/PDF (see course ISPF/PDF basics), knowledge of TSO commands and REXX execs (see course TSO/E REXX).

Objectives

The Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) provides dialog management facilities for effectively developing and executing interactive applications in the MVS/TSO environment.

In this course participants learn:

  • to build applications by means of dialog manager services;
  • to define, test and use the different dialog functions and elements.
