In focus - DB2 UDB version 8 upgrade

Each new DB2 UDB release introduces a number of new features - this is also the case with DB2 UDB version 8! New features however, often going beyond the scope of the database engine 'as such'. These features are geared towards the environment in which DB2 is being used; or influence that environment. Given the scope of our knowledge in a number of areas, we are in a position to offer more than traditional 'DB2 UDB version 8 upgrade' courses. We also provide training discussing DB2 UDB in its relationship with that 'environment'. That 'relationship', the 'environment' discussed above, is depicted in the figure below.

So what do we offer?

Based on these courses, and given our experience in and knowledge of a lot of related areas, we offer additional DB2 UDB training focusing on the specifics of that area. Obviously, some of these areas might not be of interest to you - we are sure some of them will!

The following courses are available: XML and DB2, DB2 Content Manager, DB2 UDB and its extenders: XML and text search.

Consider the following courses: Building database applications with Java, Tuning Java applications for DB2, DB2 up-to-date: Java and .NET.

We offer the following courses: WebSphere Information Integrator, DB2 up-to-date: federated databases, DB2 UDB integration with MQSeries.

Remark:

A number of the courses listed above are scheduled as open courses on our calendar. Some of these courses however are only available as in-company courses.
