Implementing and maintaining SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services

Intended for

This course is intended for information technology (IT) professionals and developers who need to implement reporting solutions by using SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services.

Background

Before attending this course, students must have:

  • An understanding of basic relational database concepts (see RDBMS concepts and SQL fundamentals)
  • Experience with SQL Server (cf. course Implementing a SQL Server 2008 database)
  • Experience with Windows services (starting and stopping), service accounts and permissions
  • Exposure to creating reports in Access or other reporting products, such as Crystal Reports
  • Conceptual understanding of the push and pull distribution/subscription paradigm.

Objectives

This three-day instructor-led course teaches students how to implement a Reporting Services solution in an organization.
