IBM Cognos BI Connection & Query Studio is a 1.5 day, instructor-led course during which attendees are taught how to manage content in the Cognos Connection Web portal and how to create, modify and organize simple ad hoc reports using Query Studio.
This course applies to both Cognos version 8 and Cognos version 10: the course will be based on one version, but differences will be pointed out when neccessary.
Attendees will learn how to access reports, run a report with options, schedule a report to run at a specific time with specific output and language formats, and create report views in the Cognos Connection Web portal. In addition, the course will teach you how to personalize the appearance of Cognos Connection by changing personal settings and creating folders to organize content.
This part of the course covers how to use different report capabilities, how to graphically display the data, and how to create reports with a consistent look and feel through the use of templates. The course also covers basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling reports and delivering reports in different formats (HTML, PDF, Excel, etc.).
