Objectives

IBM Cognos BI Framework Manager is a two-day, instructor-led course that introduces participants to metadata modeling concepts and techniques, and how to model metadata for predictable reporting and analysis results using Framework Manager.

Apart from the above attention will be paid to miscellaneous subjects as, adding filters, incorporating calculations in the framework model, usage of translation files, implementing security, etc.

This course applies to both Cognos version 8 and Cognos version 10: the course will be based on one version, but differences will be pointed out when neccessary.

Participants will learn the full scope of the metadata modeling process, from initial project creation, to publishing of metadata to the Web, enabling end users to easily author reports and analyze data.
