In focus - z/OS UNIX System Services (USS)

Our unique advantage? The ability to offer UNIX courses across any number of platforms - from PC Intel based, to mainframe z/OS. The approach we use: a number of generic courses focus on UNIX, shell scripting, etc. Followed by a number of more advanced courses treating system and environment specific characteristics and properties in greater detail.

An example? Just check-out our course 'z/OS UNIX System Services'.

The above figure clearly shows our areas of expertise - areas relevant to most if not all system programmers: how to interface with USS; how to configure USS; the interaction and relationship between USS and z/OS (for instance with respect to storage/filesystems, security, etc.); and USS system tuning.

How do we offer our expertise?

We often discuss USS and related topics within the context of (the use and implementation of) WebSphere Application Server on the z/OS platform.

Have you noticed this course in our catalog - 'Linux for z/Series'?
