Objectives

IBM Cognos BI Administrator is a two-day, instructor-led course that is designed to teach new administrators the fundamental responsibilities of administering servers and content in IBM Cognos BI. version 8.

During the training the basic principles of IBM Cognos BI security are explained from the point of view of a technical administrator, as well as the setup of the standard audit package of IBM Cognos. The attendee will be explained how to deploy an application from one environment to another environment, the basic architectural principles and performance tuning. Furthermore explanation will be given regarding back-up, which components need to be monitored for keeping the IBM Cognos platform "up and running", etc. As a last topic some explanation is given about MetaManager which is an external tool but which can contribute a lot to managing your IBM Cognos platform.
