This course is intended for Report Studio users who want to apply advanced techniques when creating complex professional reports.

Background

It is a prerequisite for the attendees to have Cognos Connection, Query Studio and Report Studio Basic knowledge.

Training method

Report Studio Advanced is a hands-on course that illustrates the advanced key concepts of IBM Cognos Report Studio Advanced while learning how to use the tool.

Objectives

IBM Cognos BI Report Studio Advanced is a two-day, instructor-led course building on topics learned in the Basic course. The Advanced course is designed for attendees to learn advanced report building techniques using relational data models, and ways of enhancing, customizing, and managing professional reports.

This course applies to both Cognos version 8 and Cognos version 10: the course will be based on one version, but differences will be pointed out when neccessary.

The course topics vary from complex layout techniques, semi-dynamic reports, data manipulation to data distribution.
