Objectives

This course gives an insight into relational systems, teaches how to write basic SQL statements and offers a detailed description of Oracle. Some time is spent on the limitations (compared with other RDBMS).

Participants will also learn how to use the Oracle system. At the end of the course, participants will not only have gained theoretical knowledge, they will also have gained enough practical experience to be able to start working independently.

Main topics

This course consists of three components, but is offered as one logical unit. After having followed all three components, people have a general overview of Oracle as RDBMS.

It is also possible to follow these courses separately, depending on background and objectives.

The first two courses are also offered as introductory courses for other relational database systems.
