VisualAge Generator V4 for server applications

Intended for

Application programmers who are going to develop traditional 3270 and/or server applications by means of VisualAge Generator V4.

Background

Some general knowledge of the relational DBMS concepts (see course RDBMS concepts) and SQL (see course SQL fundamentals) is required. You can test yourself to see if you have enough background in these domains by printing and filling in the self-tests (PDF file - 57 KB and PDF file - 56 KB).

Training method

Theory is kept to a minimum. The delegate spends most of the time on developing and testing VisualAge Generator 3270 and/or applications interactively.

  • to structure and debug these applications efficiently;
  • thorough use of the ENVY library for team development;
  • to prepare applications for the generation process.
